I was a roadie for my buddy's band and they were playing at the Stone in SF. LSD was headlining and no one
knew who they were. While unloading our band equipment, there was this "bum" who was hanging out in
front of the Stone. Later I was waiting outside for a friend because I had some free tickets for him and Stanley
is still outside. It seemed like he wanted to come in so I gave him a ticket. Shortly after that we are in the
dressing room and the bassist for the band I was a roadie for says some bum is taking a shit in the two
bathroom stalls (at the same time, running back and forth). After some quick math I figured it was Stanley.
This intrigued us into staying for the LSD. Anyway, Stanley starts the show playing a balalaika, immediately
we were blown away. Then the curtain opens and a wall of sound stood behind Stanley. Everyone in the club
was pressed against the stage. Months later I saw LSD at One Step Beyond in Santa Clara,CA. Stanley was
roaming through the crowd before the show started. I asked him if he remembered me and he said "you gave
me a ticket in san francisco" it was really cool. Everyone I took to see LSD left with their jaws dropped. Unless
you actually saw Stanley in person, you can't appreciate his talent and energy, let alone his musk.

life sex & death i saw them play at hammerjacks and was changed forever.. the shows at hammerjacks were
always amazing. i remember it was brian the drummer's birthday and the had a party for him on stage. about
2000 people all going crazy for this incredible band. my friend and i became immediate converts of the
stanley cult and followed them down the coast to florida. we all ate a truck stop in the middle of the night.
stanley stepped off the tour bus and broke bread with us. i could not believe he was drenched in sweat
wearing that beat up black suit. his smell was repulsive to the truckers in the resturant. he was almost
sadochistic in his behavior. no wonder g.g.allen loved him.

LSD ruled! Did anyone see them at CBGB's? They played withe the all-female band Meanstreak. Holy shit,
that was a brilliant show. I remember the band started to play and Stanley came in through the front door and
just started his thing. He was great. He did this little thing wehere he told us he couldn't get a cab in NY and
'Wahy won't somebody hug me, why won't somebody hug me?' Godamn it LSD were brilliant. The album was
brilliant. When Stanley sat down at the keyboard and quietly sang 'Rise Above' at the end of the set is probaly
one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I love you man, Closito

life. sex. & death!!! i cannot believe the cover of rolling stone march 18,1999 editon. there is a photo of mark
mcgrath of "sugar ray" on it. i work at a record company and years ago went to a bar in new york city called
"the tilt". sugar ray was there to play a college music journal convention showcase for one record company,
in front of maybe 25 people including bartenders. there we were all standing around bored to death. when
suddenly through the front door shuffles a reeking smell that burned the hair in my nose and could have killed
some serious brain cells if i had inhailed the odor. THE STANLEY then appeared (i heard he smears his body
with the juices of dead animals) the disc jockey then anounces the presence of stanley and i hear the song
"tank" thumping out of the loudspeakers. a girl that i swear today was natalie umbruglia kisses and hugs
stanley and will not leave him alone. then a little later sugar ray goes on stage, half their set is played out,
then mark goes out into the audience and takes stanley up on stage with him! stanley does some nutty
contorted dance and sings something incredible over the music and then mark puts his arms around him
they do some mail bonding action. the 24 people in the club go nuts. shortly after that show, sugar ray gets
signed. under the heading of rolling stone magazine march 18, 1999 are the words next to mark's face
"sugar ray, the sweet smell of success"!!!!!!!!!!!!! S-T-A-N-L-E-Y WHERE ARE

Enough of the bullshit, Blonde on Blonde, Bob Dylan Never Mind the Bullocks, Sex Pistols Pet Sounds, The
Beach Boys Silent Majority, Life Sex and Death Songs in the Key of Life, Stevie Wonder I have'nt had a
genuine good time at a concert in 7 years and I'm pissed off about it. What a joke LSD had to open for jive
ass bands like Dread Zeppelin. What a joke, what a joke, what a joke joke joke. Dread Zeppelin could'nt write
a good song if a gun was to their head. Their a loser baby so why don't you kill em. LSD had excellent music
in the midst of all the circus-like atmosphere. In the world according to me, Tank ranks as one of the best
songs of all time. If anybody has a problem with this they can kiss my ass in Macy's window.

HA! Hey yea! I totally forgot about the spray paint happy face. Now that you mentioned it, I remember it. Was
that also the same night Alex pulled his pants down? And if you think you saw me, I am about 6'5" with black
hair, and I had to move away from leaning on the bar so that Stanley could get onto the bar. I was so close,
that I almost caught some of the splatter from his upchuck. I saw LSD at the Whiskey, I think. I also saw them
at the bar that is underneath the Viper Room. DAMN! Can't remember the name. My roommate had met
Stanley before, and Stanley actually remembered my roomie, so when we saw Stanley after the show, he ran
right over, and was saying "Brian, hi Brian. Hey Brian...etc.." (My roommates name was Brian)Since he
"knew" my roomie, we got to go backstage with him. He was almost acting mentally challenged or something.
I did get the feeling that alot, if not all, of his "crazy" personna was an act. We hung out and met the rest of the
guys, shot the shit, then bolted when we could no longer take the rank smell. I know one thing for sure...That
stench of Stanleys was no act!

'92 troubador show, crazed one, i believe that may have been the only trouby show lsd ever played.. i was
there! i think i saw you and stanley and he threw up some green and yellow chunks of artwork. only show i

Anyone out there at the show at The Troubador back in 1992 when Stanley: came off stage, headed towards
the back bar, (actually right next to where I was standing), got on top of the bar, headed over to the soda gun,
shot soda into his mouth while laying on the bar for about 30 seconds, then he got up, puked all over the
fucking bar, got back up on stage, and finished the set. WHAT A PERFORMANCE! I got turned on to these
guys right after the album was released. Saw them about 3 times live. Always killer. And always cool to end
every gig with Stanley and "Rise Above"

LSD is one of the most bizarre and innovative of the metal bands to come out during the 90's The silent
majority is one of my top 10 picks of album of the decade for the 90's. The song "Rise Above" saved my life,
as pathetic as that sounds. Contact Reprise records for any information on the band. I do believe the album is
out of print, but can be found at many discount record stores as a "Cut Out" I have found 3 copies in the
chicago area, so it's there, usually only about 3.99 on cd too.

I seen this band live on tv years ago,been searching for the cd ever since. The local record store's never had
it in stock,so I've been looking thru hundreds & hundreds of used cd's, finally low & behold there it is! It was
